Dorothy "GG" L. Leabhart

     Dorothy L. “GG” Leabhart age 88 of Waynesburg, formerly of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully at 3:33pm Tuesday June 20 2017 in the home of her daughter, following a brief illness surrounded by her devoted family. She was born October 15, 1928 in Bedford a daughter of the late Paul and Olive Knight Hoover. Mrs. Leabhart graduated from Saxton High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church. For many years she was an Avon sales representative who enjoyed crocheting and reading. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Leabhart lived most of her life in Canonsburg and the past ten years in Waynesburg.                                                                            

     On November 20, 1948, she married Marion “Poof” Leabhart who passed away on December 23, 1999. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children, MarIan (Donald) Shriver with whom she made her home, James C. Leabhart of Waynesburg and Paul D. (Susan) Leabhart of McDonald, five grandchildren; Donny (Joann) Shriver, Krystal (Tim) Crouse, Lisa (Matt) Brennen, Joshua Leabhart (Sam Turner) and Chad Leabhart, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Leabhart was the last of her immediate family. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents is her son Gerald Leabhart, two brothers; Fred and Willis Hoover and two sisters; Ruby Graffious and Alene Base.

     Friends are welcome from 4-8pm Friday June 23, 2017 and Saturday June 24, 2017 from 10am until 11am, the time of services in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P.
