Gloria Marley Unruh, 74 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully on Friday, December 15, 2017 in her home with her husband by her side.

She was born on November 27, 1943 in Nottinghamshire England, in the village of Sutton-in-Ashfield, to Raymond and Melvian L. Pegg Maggi who preceded her in death. When Gloria was two years old she and her mother immigrated to the United States and settled in Eighty Four, PA.

On October 28, 1995 she married Paul Unruh, her loving and devoted best friend, who survives.

Gloria was employed as a Sales Representative until she retired. Her most important position was as wife, mother and grandmother. She was the matriarch of her family and family members sought her out for solid advice, her wisdom and her overall loving presence. Her family affectionately called her “Dodo” which was a childhood nickname.

Mrs. Unruh had a wide variety of interests and passions. Gloria and her husband Paul loved to travel and extensively traveled to the New England states which she considered her second home. She was passionate about cooking for her family and dining out at various restaurants and could recommend many establishments in numerous states she had visited. She enjoyed “camping” with her husband and extended family in the Laurel Mountains. She played golf and was an avid reader. Above all, she was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother to all of her family in many, many ways.

In addition to her husband, Paul, she is survived by her children Todd A. Marley (Cathy) and Leslie J. Gostic (Michael) both of Canonsburg, her step sons Michael P. Unruh (Sarah) of Mars and Bradley A. Unruh (Michelle) of South Fayette, her brother Raymond L. Maggi of Canonsburg, thirteen grandchildren, Jessica Dernosek, Tommy Marley, Griffin Unruh, Marquise Pettigrew, Adam Unruh, Lucas Gostic, Garrett Unruh, Gavin Unruh, Sam Unruh, Lily Gostic, Zoe Unruh, Isaac Unruh and Ava Marley and nephews, Drew Evanoka (Jodi), Neil (Ginny) and Chad (Katie) Maggi.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Kimberly Bistarkey and stepson Adam R. Unruh.
