Donald L. Bushmire

Donald L Bushmire age 68 of Strabane passed away unexpectedly Wednesday January 31, 2018 in Allegheny General Hospital Pittsburgh. He was Born January 3, 1950 in Canonsburg a son of the late Elmer and Helen Russo Bushmire. Mr. Bushmire lived his life in Canonsburg, was Catholic by faith and was a graduate of Canon-McMillan Sr. High School. He served with the United States Army as a medical corpsman and had been employed as a nursing aide prior to his retirement at Mayview State Hospital and Western Center. Mr. Bushmire was a member of the SNPJ Lodge 138 in Strabane, who enjoyed watching the Steelers and Pirates and was a Jack of All Trades. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter Tina (August) Passieu of Cecil Twp., his son Kevin Thomas (Leigh-Ann) Bushmire of Canonsburg, four grandchildren; Alexis and Laila Bushmire and Corey and Kylie Passieu, a great granddaughter Raylinn, two brothers; James (Kathy) Bushmire of Scottsdale Arizona and E. Thomas (Diana) Bushmire of Scenery Hill, a sister Georgette “Sissy” Levin of Rochester New York and several nieces and nephews.

At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation or services. Interment will take place at 12:30 pm Tuesday February 6, 2018 in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp. with full military rites accorded by the VFW Post 191 Honor Guard of Canonsburg and the United States Army.
