Donna Marie Carr

Donna Marie Carr, 75 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born on October 31, 1942 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

Donna was a faithful member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Mrs. Carr was a Registered Nurse graduating from St. Francis Nursing School in Pittsburgh. She was employed for many years at Western Center in Canonsburg until her retirement.

On October 2, 1965 she married Clarence M. “Dick” Carr who passed away on October 21, 2011.

She was an avid reader. She greatly enjoyed being a grandmother and spent as much time with her grandsons as she could.

Mrs. Carr is survived by her daughter Margaret S. Carr of Canonsburg and her son David C. Carr of Port Orange, Florida and her two grandsons, Matthew Verholtz and Dylan Price.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Beth Verholtz who passed away June 25, 2018, her daughter Jennifer Marie Carr and her brother Ronald Stevens.

Friends are welcome from 5~8 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2018 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor and Darla A. Tripoli, LFD, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg where a Blessing Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2018. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
