Dorothy R. Costello

Dorothy R. Costello age 92 of Strabane formerly of Dormont passed away peacefully Thursday February 15, 2018 in TownView Health and Rehabilitation Center Canonsburg. She was born January 29, 1926 in Pittsburgh a daughter of the late Henry and Mary Frances Relihan Hastings. Mrs. Costello was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Canonsburg. Her family was her life. On April 22, 1950 she married Harry L. Costello Jr. who passed away April 25, 2012 after 62 years of marriage. Left behind to cherish her memory are four daughters; Barbra C. (Larry) Sandy of North Strabane Twp., Kathleen M. (Rich) Crowe of Newtown Square, Maureen T. Lynch of Dormont and Mary Beth Kubiak of Strabane, fourteen grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are her son Dennis P. Costello, a brother, Thomas Hastings, four sisters, Janet Miklos, Mary Frances Mershon, Joan Ahlborn and Margie Main. She was the last of her immediate family.

Family and Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Sunday February 18, 2018 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra FD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 9:30am Monday February 19, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Monday in St. Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg. Interment will follow in Christ Our Redeemer cemetery, Pittsburgh.
