Norman C. DiNardo 74 of Houston passed away Tuesday January 16, 2018 in Presbyterian Medical Center Pittsburgh with his devoted family by his side. He was born November 23, 1943 in Canonsburg a son of the late Rodolfo and Maria DePaolo DiNardo. Mr. DiNardo was raised in Muse and lived in Houston. He was a faithful Member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Meadowlands. He was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School class of 1961 and Penn Commercial with an Associate’s Degree in Business and served with the Army National Guard. Mr. DiNardo was a partner in the former Mac Plastics in Canonsburg for 30 years. A heart transplant recipient 22 years ago, he was a member of the C.O.R.E. organization and was always found with a smile, a positive attitude and he never complained. He enjoyed golfing, traveling with family on vacations every summer and spending winters in Florida. A member of the Italian American Heritage Society of Washington County, F.I.G.S. Italian club in Finleyville, the Muse Independent Club and the American Legion Post 902 in Houston, he was very proud of his Italian heritage. Mr. DiNardo visited Italy on three occasions to spend time with relatives there and his hobby was making wine, sausage and salami to share with family and friends. He dearly loved his daughters and grandchildren and his beloved wife of 51 years Donna Charriere DiNardo who is left behind to cherish his memory. Also surviving are his two daughters; Darcie L. (Alan) Vezzi of South Fayette Twp. and Nicole R. (Steve) Pardon of Roanoke, VA., four grandchildren; Emily and Justin Vezzi and Jacob and Maxwell Pardon, two brothers: Rudolph (Paulette) DiNardo of Canonsburg and David (Brenda) DiNardo of Altamonte Springs, Florida, a special brother in law Barry (Barb) Charriere and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Deceased in addition to his parents is his brother James DiNardo who passed away in August of 2002.

Friends are welcome from 6-8pm Saturday January 20, 2018 and from 2-4 and 6-8pm Sunday January 21, 2018 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 9:15 am Monday January 22, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Monday in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Meadowlands with reverend Carmen D’Amico as celebrant. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery Canonsburg.
