Ann Walker

Ann Walker age 98 of McDonald passed away peacefully Tuesday April 18, 2023, in McMurray Hill Manor, Peters Twp. with her family by her side. She was born August 24, 1924, in Cecil Twp, a daughter of the late Emanuel and Maria Quaresima Bernardi. Ann lived her entire life in the Cecil Twp. area where she graduated from Cecil High School and had been a faithful member of Holy Rosary Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish in Muse and the Christian Mothers and Guild. She was a dedicated homemaker and truly enjoyed being around her family. On August 9, 1947, she married James T. Walker who passed away on August 11, 1985. Left behind to cherish her memory are her devoted children Gerald P. “Fish” (Roberta) Walker of Canonsburg and her daughter Sheila Goettmann of McDonald, four grandchildren Jamie (Justin) Fonner, Neil A. (Jessie) Goettmann, Jason (Shaibal Sorkor) Walker and Erin (PJ) Falconi, 7 great grandchildren, her sister Anrica Degenova of Muse, her brother Victor Bernardi of Cecil Twp. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are her brothers, Paul and Mario G. Bernardi, sisters Bertha and Irma Quaresima and her son-in-law James Goettmann.  Friends and Family are welcome from 2 pm-4 pm and 6 pm -8 pm Friday, April 21, 2023, in SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Oscar Romero Parish Holy Rosary Church, Muse. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery; Peters Twp.
