Beata Joan "Bea" Melvin

Beata “Bea” Joan Melvin age 85 of Canonsburg passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 peacefully at her home with her daughter Terry by her side. She was born June 1, 1936 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Beata Peczko Karl.

Bea lived most of her life in Canonsburg. She worked at Eat n’ Park in Peters Township as a hostess for 24 years. She enjoyed going to flea markets and garage sales and spending time with her family.

On May 27, 1955 She married Frank W. Melvin Jr., who passed away April 19, 2008. Left behind to cherish her memory are her three daughters Susan (J.T.) Totterdale of Canonsburg, Penny Richmond of Cincinnati, OH and Terry Melvin of Canonsburg; grandchildren Jamie Totterdale, Amanda, Leslie and Cassie Richmond; great-grandchildren Hailey, Jackson and Brantly Puckett, Riley and Maisie Bea Lyke and Payton Sue Roney and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are her son David G. Melvin and brothers Lawrence and John Karl.

Friends and family are welcome on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 4-8 pm in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where funeral services will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, October 25, 2021, Pastor Joe DiDonato, officiating.
