Catherine E. Sluciak

Catherine E. Sluciak age 83 of Oxford, PA, formerly of Washington, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Ware Presbyterian Village, Oxford. She was born September 22, 1938 in Strabane, a daughter of the late Joseph W. and Sophie Staniszenska Kubacki.

Catherine was a 1956 graduate of Canonsburg High School. She drove truck cross country with her husband John as a team for many years.  She enjoyed playing bingo, baking, crocheting and playing rummy with the girls. Catherine also enjoyed spending time camping with family. She was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Parish in Washington.

On June 6, 1959 she married John Michael Sluciak who passed away May 2, 1999. Left behind to cherish her memory are her two daughters Cheryl (Brian) Glass of Norristown, PA and Stephanie (Robert) Moyer Jr. of East Earl, PA; grandchildren Jessica (Harry) Ott, Nicole (David) Kadel, Nicholle (Jeff) Sheaffer and Hillary Moyer and great-grandchildren Cecelia Sheaffer, Emily Kadel, Oliver Sheaffer, Paige Kadel and Landon Ott. Deceased in addition to her parents and husband is her brother Joseph T. Kubacki and sister Maryann Skoylak.

Friends and family are welcome on Saturday April 2, 2022 from 10:00 am until the time of a blessing service at 11:00 am in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor, Erin E. Jones LFD, 304 W. Pike Street, Canonsburg. 724-745-8120.

Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.
