Donald "Clyde" Pritts

“Donald “Clyde” Pritts of Canonsburg passed away Monday May 2, 2022, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born January 31, 1933, in Canonsburg as son of the late Ivan and Florine Neely Pritts. Clyde lived his life in Canonsburg, graduating from Canonsburg High School had attended South Canonsburg Church. Prior to his retirement he had been employed at the former McGraw Edison and Cooper Power Systems in Canonsburg. He served with the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the VFW Post 191 in Canonsburg and the American Legion Post 902 in Houston. Clyde was a member of the Muse Independent Chub and was an avid hunter and fisherman especially enjoying times at his camp at Tidioute.  On June 30, 1956, he married Janice Lee Smith, who survives after 65 years of marriage.  Also left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Robin Grey and Kelly Pritts both of Canonsburg, his son Donald K. (Jolynn) Pritts of Washington, his brother Robert Pritts of Strabane, four grandchildren: Jennifer (Steven) Harmon, Dawn-Marie (Keith) Wodiski, Michelle Pritts and Danielle Pritts, seven great grandchildren, Ty, Seth, Ashton, Caden, Chance, Angelica and Alec and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents are his  son Dirk Pritts, brother Ivan and his wife Doreen Pritts and his sister-in-law Catherine Pritts.

Friends and Family are welcome from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm, the time of services, Friday, May 6, 2022, in Salandra Funereal and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120. Interment with full Military Honors by the United States Army and the VFW Post 191 Honor Guard will follow at 1:30pm in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp.
