Dorothy A. (Rush) Hoffman

Dorothy A. Hoffman, 72, of Cecil passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 in the Donnell House, Washington with her loving family by her side.

She was born on November 6, 1943 in Washington, a daughter of the late Ralph and Anna Yesenosky Rush.

Mrs. Hoffman retired from Citizens Bank after many devoted years.  She was a member of the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church for 50 years, where she served as an Elder and a Deacon.  Dorothy enjoyed bowling, cooking, gardening, and flowers.  She especially enjoyed traveling with her family on cruises and to Disney World.  Above all, she loved her family.  She devoted her life to caring for her family and grandchildren.  She would always have gatherings to celebrate family birthdays.  Dorothy would also have Survivor parties with her grandchildren, where they would watch the show and share valuable time together.

On March 7, 1963 she married her beloved husband, Paul L. Hoffman, Jr., who survives.

Also surviving are two loving children, Paul L. (Sara) Hoffman, III of Cecil and Kimberly A. Hoffman Smutney of Cecil; five precious grandchildren, Zachary Hoffman, Ashland (Bobbie) Warlick, Brooke Hoffman, Nicholas Smutney, and Matthew Smutney; two sisters, Shirley Secret and Nancy Kuhn; a nephew; and two nieces.

Friends are welcome from 1:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, August, 28, 2016 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg.  A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 29, 2016 in Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, 112 West Pike Street, Canonsburg with Rev. Don Coleman officiating.  Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.  Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.
