Elizabeth "Betty" Homerosky

Elizabeth “Betty” Homerosky age 91 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully at 5:17 am Thursday, September 2, 2021, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care in Washington. She was born May 5, 1930, in Canonsburg a daughter of the late Paul and Mary Hornyak Koren.

Betty lived her life in Canonsburg where she attended Canonsburg High School and was a faithful member of St. Patrick Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish. She was a devoted mother and homemaker who enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening. Betty also enjoyed volunteering for the church making perogies.  On July 2, 1949, she married Frank Homerosky who passed away Monday, November 27, 2000. Left behind to cherish her memory are her four sons, Frank (Mary) Homerosky of Oak Hill, Ohio, David (Judy) Homerosky of Canonsburg, Kenneth (Donna) Homerosky of Washington and James (Wendy) Homerosky of McMurray five grandchildren, Matthew Homerosky, Ariane (Shawn) Alcorn, Elizabeth Homerosky, Emily (Gabe) Norris and Erin Homerosky, seven great grandchildren, one great-great grandson and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents is her grandsons, Jason and Alexander Homerosky, her sister Hazel LaSalvia and her brother Ernest Koren.

Family and Friends are welcome from 6-8pm Friday, September 3, 2021, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 9:40 am Saturday, September 4, 2021, followed at 10 am by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
