George "Panda" Kontos

George “Panda” Kontos age 82 of Whitehall formerly of Canonsburg, passed away February 2, 2021 in Largo, Florida. He was born April 12, 1938 in McKeesport a son of the late Paraskevas “Pete” and Sevasti Kontomanoli. George was a butcher by trade, starting at Apollo Grocery in Canonsburg. He worked at several other grocery stores over the years including Verscharens, Baldwin Foodland and Beechview Foodland. Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter Debra Presy, grandson, Matt Presy and his wife Gina, granddaughter Leah Presy and great grandsons, Andre and Kai Vea, Reid and Luke Presy, his sister Christine Kontomanoli of Canonsburg and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents is his beloved wife Mary Kontos. His family will surely miss their “Pappy”. May his memory be eternal.
