Jeffrey Allen DeVries Obituary

Jeffrey Allen DeVries age 64 of Canonsburg, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday September 14, 2022, in his home. He was born March 16, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, a son of the late Gerald Wayne and Gloria Jean Coplin DeVries. Jeff lived in Canonsburg most of his life and had been a horse lover his entire life. He was a standard bred horse trainer independently and with various other racing stables in the area for 29 years at the Meadows Racetrack. He enjoyed going to the beach and was a member of the Washington Trotting Association. Left behind to cherish his memory are his sister Debra (Archie) Strimel of Bradenton Florida, his brother Craig W. (Darlene) DeVries of White Oak, nieces and nephews, Sarrah (James) Bentley, Justin (Colleen) DeVries and Jason (Jennifer) Strimel, great niece and nephews, Asher Strimel and Ava and Alex DeVries.

At Jeff’s request there will be no public visitation. Services will be held 11 am on Friday September 30, 2022, at the Meadows Racetrack Chapel with Pastor Joe DiDonato officiating. Interment will be private. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Salandra Funeral and Cremation services, Inc. Joseph P.
