Nancy D. Casacchia

Nancy D. Casacchia of North Strabane Twp. passed away peacefully Tuesday January 30, 2023, in McMurray Hills Manor, Peters Twp. Mrs. Casacchia was born and lived her entire life in Canonsburg. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Carmella Parrino DiVincenzo and had been married to her husband, the late Nicholas Casacchia. A graduate of Canonsburg High School, Nancy was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and Guild. Prior to her retirement she had been employed in the Department of Welfare at the former Western Center. Mrs. Casacchia was a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Retired Stated Employees. Left behind to cherish her memory are her two sons Joseph Casacchia and his wife Alleta of Greensboro, NC, Nicholas Casacchia of Imperial and her daughter Carma Ann Haas and her husband Joseph of New Paltz, New York, two grandchildren, Nicholas Casacchia of Greensboro and Meredith Casacchia of Ashville NC, a sister Antoinette McLean of McMurray, and several nieces and nephews. A brother Joseph DiVincenzo is deceased along with a brother Sam who died in infancy.

Friends and family are welcome from 4 until 7 pm Friday, February 3, 2023, in SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 9:30 am Saturday, February 4, 2023. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
