Ronald James Gilpin

Ronald James Gilpin age 72 of Canonsburg passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 at his home. He was born May 13, 1948 in Canonsburg, a son of the late Homer and Catherine Morgan Gilpin.

Ron lived most of his life in Canonsburg, living in Muse for a short time. He worked as a coalminer and as a cement finisher for Stockman and Kinskey, Inc.

Ron loved Pittsburgh sports, especially the Steelers and Penguins. He enjoyed gardening and yardwork, but most of all he cherished the time he spent with his three great-nephews Tino, Rocco and Nico.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 31 years Linda Klinger Gilpin of Canonsburg; brother Phillip Gilpin and his wife Nene of Washington and many nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents are two brothers Joseph and Hugh Gilpin.

Friends and family are welcome on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120.

Private interment will be in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
