Thomas P. Fartro, age 97, of Washington, formerly of Houston, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at The Grove at Washington. He was born January 6, 1924, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Carmen and Pauline Novak Fartro. He was a graduate of Canonsburg High School and a lifetime member of St. Patrick Church in Canonsburg. Tom was a proud veteran of World War II when he served with the United States Army, deployed to Okinawa, Japan. On February 12, 1953, he married Sarah Mae “Sally” Boyce, who passed away June 18, 2010. Left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Reverend Jeffrey T. Fartro of Cleveland-Parma, Ohio, and his wife Lynn and three grandchildren Leeland, James and Sarabeth Fartro, his sister Lucy Cannon, and multiple nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his wife and parents are five brothers Benjamin, Rocco, Tony, Joe, and John Fartro, and seven sisters Nancy and Teresa Fartro, Rose Churray, Pauline Churchel, Mary Kolarsky, Ann Niemiec and Elizabeth Fartro.
